Malaysia Hosts Jiujiang Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference

JIUJIANG, China, Aug. 29, 2025 -- On 27 August, "JIUJIANG: THE ESSENCE OF CHINESE LANDSCAPES" 2025 Jiujiang Cultural & Tourism Malaysia Promotion was held in Kuala Lumpur. Present were Mr. Wang Jianxin, Party Secretary and Director of Jiujiang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism; Mr. Azmi Bin Abdullah, Senior Deputy Director (Asia & Africa), Tourism Malaysia; Ms. Chen Meixin, Deputy President, Malaysian Association of Chinese Tour Agents (MCTA); Mr. Kuang Rongfa, Party Secretary and Director of the Lushan Development Committee of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism; Mr. Wu Shuguang, Lushan Xihai Organization and Publicity Department/Director of Bureau of Culture,Tourism and Sports; Mr. Deng Feng, Secretary of Leading Party Members Group of the Yongxiu County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and more than 80 representatives from scenic areas, travel agencies and media.

In his address, Mr. Wang noted that the China-Malaysia visa-exemption policy has turned "go-now" travel into reality. Jiujiang is ready to share opportunities and exchange visitors with Malaysia, and he warmly invited Malaysian friends to visit and invest. Ms. Chen echoed that the two destinations are highly complementary and will leverage the new Kuala Lumpur–Nanchang direct flight to boost two-way tourist flows.

The event showcased three flagship resources: Lushan, a UNESCO "World Cultural Landscape" renowned for both cultural depth and natural grandeur; Lushan West Sea, celebrated for its thousand-island vistas, water sports and wellness retreats; and Yongxiu, highlighting the wetland ecology of Poyang Lake—"painted lakes and a paradise for migratory birds." A Jiujiang itinerary video tailored for the Malaysian market was premiered, offering diverse cultural, natural and eco-experiences.

MCTA signed cooperation agreements with Jiangxi Yuanda International Travel; Iki Holiday sealed a partnership with China Travel Service Jiujiang. Mr. Ng Wei Chuan, General Manager of Iki Holiday, pledged to capitalize on the direct-flight advantage to continuously bring Malaysian visitors to Jiujiang, allowing more travellers to experience its poetic scenery.
