PENANG, Malaysia, Nov. 28, 2025 -- K-Beauty Expo Malaysia 2025 and K-MediTech Expo Malaysia 2025, hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organised by KINTEX, have successfully concluded at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC) after a dynamic three-day showcase of Korea's leading beauty and medical innovations. Making their Malaysian debut, the dual expos drew thousands of visitors, buyers, healthcare professionals, and beauty enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia.

The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished VIPs, including Mr. Sang-woo Hong, Ambassador for International Relations from Gyeonggi Province; Mr. Jaeyul Lee, President of KINTEX; Mr. Dominic Oh, President of PWCC; and Malaysian representatives YB Wong Hon Wai, Executive Council Member for Tourism & Creative Economy; YB Connie Tan, Penang State Legislative Assembly Member; Dato' Khoo Boo Lim, Board Director of the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau; Ms. Dawn Tan, COO of Perennial Holdings; and Dato' Khoo Teck Chong, Vice President of IJM Land Northern Region. The ceremony also welcomed several other esteemed guests and industry leaders, underscoring the significance of the event and highlighting the strong government and industry support behind this landmark exhibition.
The event sustained strong momentum from Day 1, featuring a lively opening ceremony, extensive exhibitor showcases, and specialised industry presentations. More than 150 Korean brands participated, presenting cutting-edge skincare formulations, derma-cosmetics, AI-powered beauty tools, diagnostic systems, biosensor technology, and advanced medical devices. Exhibitors reported high-quality engagement from Malaysian and regional buyers, reflecting growing demand for Korean innovation across both beauty and healthcare sectors.
Visitors enjoyed a vibrant on-ground experience throughout the three days, with activities such as personal colour analysis, Korean traditional games, AEON voucher giveaways, photo zones, and live demonstrations from both beauty and meditech exhibitors. The expo halls remained active as attendees explored booths, sampled products, and interacted directly with Korean companies seeking new partnerships in ASEAN.
Educational institutions and content creators also contributed to the atmosphere, with student groups joining guided tours and local influencers sharing event highlights across social channels. These engagements helped broaden public awareness and encouraged more walk-ins over the weekend.
The 10th ASEAN Meeting of Aesthetic Surgery & Medicine (AMAS 2025) took place alongside the expo, bringing together aesthetic and medical professionals for discussions on dermatology, clinical innovations, and future industry trends.
As the event concluded, organisers highlighted its role in strengthening commercial ties between Korea and Malaysia. With Korea recognised globally for its leadership in beauty manufacturing and medical technology, the successful debut of both expos in Penang reinforces the region's potential for continued collaboration and business expansion.
KINTEX expressed appreciation to all exhibitors, partners, and visitors for contributing to a successful first edition in Malaysia.
