チャイナ・マターズの特集：北京胡同の保存活動

北京、2025年9月8日 -- 胡同は北京を象徴する風景の一つであり、現在も市内には約1,000か所の胡同が残っています。元代以来、北京の都市計画は厳格で、整然とした街並みが求められてきました。大通りは「街（ジエイ）」、細い路地は「胡同（フートン）」と呼ばれ、明代には標準的な様式を持つ四合院（中庭を囲む住宅）が形成されました。胡同と四合院は一体となり、機能的なエリアを形成しました。例えば、琉璃廠（リュウリーチャン）胡同は、かつて当地に釉薬の瓦窯があったことに由来し、工芸品の中心地として知られていました。清代には、胡同は商業・娯楽・居住など用途に応じた区域分けが進みました。北京では70年以上前から胡同の保存が始まり、「原状回復」を原則として活動が進められています。前門三里河、大柵欄、鼓楼、什刹海などのエリアは、歴史的な景観を保ちながら再生が図られました。胡同の住民たちは自発的に北京初の建築遺産保護協会を設立しました。江西省出身の芸術家、况晗（Kuang Han）氏は30年にわたり胡同をテーマに3万枚の写真を撮影し、2千点以上の絵画を制作するなど、胡同保護への支援を広く呼び掛けています。チャイナ・マターズが制作したアニメ・シリーズ「Xi's Thought Made Easy」では、胡同の歴史と再生
